Tiny House Update: Interior Walls
As summer transitions to autumn, the work on the tiny house moves from the outside to the inside. There are only two interior spaces to partition out in this build: the bathroom and the bedroom. On one hand, this makes things much easier than a conventional home since there are so few spaces to contend with. However, it also presents its own challenges in the form of the bedroom. More on that in a minute! The bathroom was so simple to frame, we were able to complete it in a single afternoon. One wall, the one which will have a sliding barn door, was made thinner than average to maximize space. The shorter wall was framed with standard-sized lumber, however, since that wall will have all the plumbing and therefore will need the space. While the bathroom was easy, the bedroom is more than difficult enough. It's still in progress, but here's a peek at what's been done so far: As you can see, the walls are fully insulated on this end, and some parts have plywood nailed on. The bed
I was trying to avoid it, but at last I had no other choice: My car had to be sent in for repair. Specifically, I had been hoping to forestall any car repairs until after the tiny house was complete so I wouldn't be siphoning off funds for one into the other. But there comes a point when a car has to be repaired or else it'll fall apart. Mine wasn't at that point, but it was very close. And given the price of buying a new, or even used, vehicle these days, repair was definitely the better option. Repairing vehicles is the better option for other reasons, too. Being able to fix something, whether that be a car, a piece of equipment, clothes, or anything else, shouldn't even be something we have to think about. But in this day and age, it sadly is. But I won't keep you with talks of such issues. Anyway, the moral of this story is I'm out $1,000, which will likely delay the next steps of my tiny house build until I can get that back via commissions. There will still be some progress
Hey so I've been revamping my social medias lately and I came here in order to do some cleaning up.
